Conspiracy Theorists Believe Aliens Visited Earth And Left Their Money Behind

OCTOBER 18, 2016  —  By Hannah Austin

We've heard a lot of crazy UFO conspiracy theories, but nothing quite like this recent claim that ancient aliens left behind money on Earth.

Supposedly, these coins were found in Egypt during the excavation of a wooded area. So far, there's no word as to what the coins are made of or who found them -- all we have are these photos. Hoax or not, though, they're definitely worth a closer look.

I can only assume that this is the alien equivalent of George Washington?

And this must be their spaceship touching down on Earth. The phrase "opportunus adest" is Latin for "it's here in due time," which some take as a clue that the aliens plan to return.

Another coin reads "obruitur pluribus resistit," which means "we resist with few and overcome with many." That doesn't sound too friendly to me!

If there are extraterrestrials out there, it's highly unlikely that they speak Latin or use the same calendar as us.

What do you think? Are these coins proof that aliens visited Earth, or are they just a clever hoax? Let us know in the comments!

Personally, I'm going to need some more evidence.
