Serving in the military can bring about a sense of pride knowing that you’re fighting for your country.

But we all know that such responsibility also comes with great sacrifice. No one understands that quite like Lt. Steven Holmes, who was forced to leave his then-pregnancy wife Tera after being deployed to Afghanistan. During deployment, Tera gave birth to a healthy baby girl.

There was no holding back tears as Holmes met his baby girl for the first time in a crowded Sacramento airport. Watch the heartwarming moment in the video below!

While we wish he could've been there for the birth, I'm sure this is a moment he'll treasure forever. Congrats to this military family!
