During almost every wedding ceremony, lovebirds utter the words, “In sickness and in health.”

But as most newlyweds are lost in thoughts of moving in together and raising a family, they often forget that life can throw a curveball at any moment. Some husbands might not know how to react or cope with their spouse falling ill to a disease like thyroid cancer, but Jon Newman fell into the role of caretaker when his wife got sick.

When Newman’s wife was recovering from radiation therapy for her thyroid cancer, doctors said she should be isolated from her loved ones. Unwilling to leave his wife’s side during the recovery process, he found the most touching way to show her love and support.

Their daughter Mackenna captured this act of love in a recent tweet. While he can’t physically be in the room with the woman he loves, he made sure that he could at least be close to her.

There’s no denying that these two are madly in love with one another. Share this heartwarming photo with everyone you know to help wish this strong woman a speedy recovery!
