This Mom Was Shocked When She Saw Her Baby Boy Up For Adoption On Craigslist

NOVEMBER 18, 2016  —  By Corinne Sanders

Though adoption scams seem few and far between, the reality is that they're more prevalent than we know.

Many women con aspiring parents by pretending to be pregnant and stealing their money.

Jenni Brennan wasn't looking to adopt a baby, though, and never imagined that something like this could happen to her family. However, when she received an email from a stranger one day, she realized that parents and hopeful adopters alike can fall victim to these kinds of scams.

Brennan had a blog in which she shared photos of her two sons, but she quickly changed her mind about its privacy after she read the email.

The sender told her someone was using her nine-month-old son, Jacob's picture in a Craigslist adoption post.
