It's terrible to see a dog hurting and in pain, especially if it feels like there's nothing you can do about it.

It took four days to lure her inside. Exhausted from running and very sick, Jayna was afraid.

It took more than an hour before she would let her rescuers pet her.

But eventually, it was clear that she just wanted love.

Her rescuers posted her story on Facebook, where foster parents and rescue organizations helped her find a home.

She took a long ride to New Jersey, where Jayna is now "spoiled rotten."

She even has two best friends to play with all the time, and these kids absolutely adore her.

Jayna is the perfect example that all dogs deserve love and a forever home. She looks so happy!
