Most school buses come equipped with an emergency door located at the rear of the bus in case things go haywire.

While these emergency exits are designed to save lives, dash cam footage out of Harrison, Arkansas, is proof that these life-savers can also put kids in danger.

The horrifying footage below shows a four-year-old girl falling out of a moving mini bus as it goes speeding down the highway. Completely unaware of the accident, the bus driver continued as though nothing was wrong. Luckily for the little girl, a volunteer firefighter was driving behind the bus and was able to come to her aid.

While she sustained a broken jaw, she is expected to make a full recovery.

Let this be a wake-up call to bus companies that drivers always have to be vigilant when there's precious cargo on board. Do you think the mandatory use of seat belts on buses would've prevented this? Let us know in the comments and be sure to share this with the other parents in your life!
