Pets are part of the family and when they are in trouble, people are willing to do almost anything to save them (as they should). An elderly Siberian husky named Sylvie was in big trouble when she fell through the ice on a frozen lake, but luckily a heroic firefighter was there to do whatever it took to pull the 13 year-old out of the water and get her safely back to her family, according to the Boston Herald.
She was panicked and freezing, the older dog wouldn't last long in the freezing waters.
Sean P. Coyle, a member of the Boston fire department, donned a safety suit and hurried out to rescue her.
At one point, even Sean fell in the water during the rescue.
But, he didn't stop until she was saved.
The people who are willing to put their own safety on the line to save animals are truly the best type of people. Source: HuffingtonPost.com If you love what the Boston fire department did for Sylvie, click the button below to share with your friends.
