An Intelligent Killer Whale Sets A Perfect Trap To Catch Some Hungry Birds

FEBRUARY 5, 2016  —  By Binny Gudjonsson

This video shows just how incredibly intelligent killer whales can be.

After this whale became tired of eating fish every day, he decided to see if he couldn't get some tasty bird on the menu, too. The clever killer whale was seen throwing a fish to some hungry birds and waiting for a prey to fall for the bait.

After a short while, his ingenuity is rewarded with a feathery feast.

Giving up a little bit now for a chance to get more later requires a great deal of forethought, self-control, and planning. If I've learned anything from delayed gratification studies, it's that this whale is certainly on track to earn a lot more money than most people ever will.
