Conspiracy theorist and father of two Max Spiers was recently found dead on a sofa. The Canterbury, England, native had traveled to Poland to give a speech on UFOs.
Spiers was only 39 years old. There were no signs of struggle or violence, but strangely enough, no post-mortem exam was conducted. Now his family and followers are wondering if the man's research brought him into contact with something sinister.
Just days before his mysterious death, Spiers sent his mother a chilling text. "Your boy's in trouble," it read. "If anything happens to me, investigate."
He also told his friends that he'd been vomiting black liquid. Healthy young men don't just die for no reason. Is this a clue that Spiers was slowly being poisoned? If so, who wanted him dead?
Spiers wasn't just interested in UFOs. He made a career out of investigating conspiracies and alleged government coverups. Some, including his mother, believe that his death is a sign that he got too close to the truth.
Authorities refuse to give his mother any more details.
She said, “All I have is a death certificate from the Polish authorities that it was from natural causes, but no post-mortem was done, so how can they tell that? They are also refusing to release any paperwork about it to me because, absurdly, I don’t have his written permission.”
To make matters even stranger, a follower of Spiers, Niki Reinart, claims that he is not dead, but has been abducted by aliens.
"Max is my Twinflame, we are mindlinked. I started getting pieces of what was actually happening. It was horrendous. They where inflicting the most vile torture on Max, but only the left side of his body...the feminine side, the one they didn't need for their purposes."
