This Roadside Puppy Rescue Could've Been Disastrous, But Watch What Happened

Hope for Paws, a rescue organization in the Los Angeles area, received a text about a puppy and his mother living on the streets. Like they always do, they hopped into action as part of their never-ending mission to get dogs in trouble into happy homes.

When rescuers arrived on the scene, Mom and her baby were on opposite sides of the street.

Noticing a hole in the fence, they had to act fast to make sure the pup didn't escape through it.

Luckily, the pup was secured on the first try...

But this didn't make Mom, later named Oreo, too happy.

Don't worry, though; she was quickly reassured of her baby's safety.

Oreo and her pup, Cookie Monster, are now safe and healthy in a local shelter.

While these two happy pups now have a roof overhead, there are still many animals out there that need help. You can donate to Hope for Paws here, or if you're in the Los Angeles area and want to add a new member to your family, you can look into adopting from the shelter!
