This Olympian Helped His Brother Finish A Race Rather Than Take The Win For Himself

SEPTEMBER 21, 2016  —  By Corinne Sanders

When brothers Alistair and Jonny Brownlee were running together in the World Triathlon Series race in Mexico, things suddenly took a painful turn for Jonny.

Just as he came close to finishing in first, his legs started giving out and he couldn't go any farther. He had to quit the race before he collapsed and injured himself.

Resigned to his fate, Jonny assumed that his brother would win instead -- but that's not what happened. To his surprise, Alistair came running up behind him to provide a helping hand, sacrificing his own chance at first place.

Talk about brotherly love!

What an amazing display of selflessness. I only hope that I can one day do something even half as awesome for my sister.
