This Absolute Nastiness Was Happening Really Slowly…Right Up Until It Wasn’t

Snails are known for doing things very slowwwlllyyy. But have you ever seen one devour a worm?

If not, you’ve come to the right place! Most snails are herbivores, but in New Zealand, carnivorous snails can be found because why not? While they’ll happily feast on just about any animal that’s already dead, they also like to hunt other gastropod mollusks, such as slugs and earthworms. Oddly enough, however, quasi-cannibalism is not the most disturbing thing about their dietary habits.

Watch as this snail slurps up a worm like a piece of spaghetti. It’s pretty ironic that such a slow animal has such a quick bite!
